My neighbour Edie can hear them. If you want a nice and quiet home - DON'T GET A BIRD! I wear head sets so I can watch my movies at night. I also wear ear plugs, Chiquita rambles in her sleep.
But I'm serious, if you don't like noise a parrot is not right for you. Try having an Amazon yelling "I Want Out." I'm suprised the cops were not called. Your life will dramatically change from a nice peaceful home into the amazon jungle.
My birds can be so loud I can hear them outside. But you really do learn to tune it out, I don't even hear all the noise anymore.
